My 200mm (weighing about a ton on my back) was definitely worth lugging around, given that this island with the lighthouse is about 500m off the coast.

Las Meninas
I discovered this Valencian-born Spanish artist whose work was displayed on different floors of the Chambord castle. I absolutely loved the contrast of his pop artsy style and the sensuality in his work with the intricate details of the historical building architecture. This particular sculpture is inspired by Diego Velázquez's Las Meninas.

Love bugs
I ran into these little guys while hiking near the Plaine Joux area carpeted with summer flowers. They were holding onto the flower pretty hard and were swinging back and forth by the wind, a bit like a poppy. They looked like they were having fun.
